Give me an "A"!

Kind of a random thought... I was reading a blog and I saw that someone wrote "a FHE". This makes perfect sense if you are saying "a family home evening", but it doesn't sound right if you say "a F, H, E".... is this a new activity for families? Allstar Famly Home Evening?.... So I realized that it is because the letter "f" is pronounced "eff" (is that two "effs" or one "ef", or effes....or effen? haha) So I realized that you wouldn't use the article "an" before all letters. You would say "a g" for example, not "an g".
Anyhow, Here is a list of letters for which you use "an".

an a
an e
an f
an h
an i
an l
an m
an o
an r
an s
an x
(for a fun tongue twister try saying this list 3 times fast) I like how how the last half sounds...

For the rest you use "A". What is interesting is that "u" is the only vowel that doesn't use "an" for its indefinite article...."an You" or "an "Yu" or for spanish speakers "an Llu" except for those from Argentina who would say "an shu". after which I would say "bless you (yoo)" or "salud".

I just thought I would share something I learned today.
